Okay, well I've figured out a good place to have the WWKIP thinger here in the West LA area. Well, technically it is Santa Monica, but that's because Santa Monica's parks are dog friendly while West LA's are not. Some of us have dogs or kids, this is a great way to include the whole family.

Douglas Park
2439 Wilshire Blvd. between Chelsea Avenue & 25th Street
Santa Monica

Noon-4pm
Saturday June 10

Bring sunscreen, a folding chair, and your knitting! There's a great big wonderful playground if you've got kids, the park is dog friendly so bring your (on leash) pooch, there's several reflecting pools with ducks, open public bathrooms, lots of shade and trees, plenty of adjacent street parking and it should be a really fun afternoon. There's a Starbucks half a block east and Jack in the Box across the street, otherwise, plan to bring your lunch.

Come out and knit! There might be fun prizes! There will definitely be yarn. What's not to like?

I can't join you for the KIP (too far away) but I will be KIPing somewhere that day. Fried green tomatoes take unripe tomatoes, best from your own vine.
